And the effects... I always wondered how to do effects like that =0 it flows really well and is like a nice frame for them~

The spirit "effects" is just some simple brush work - specifically using a lower opacity brush and building up on it until I get something cool.

And yes it is the same characters from the earlier images. They're characters from Legend of Mana - Escad and "Anli" the Heroine (nameless hero-type), and they're my One-True-Pairing. XD I can't help myself but obsess over 'em. XD

Indeed! XD EscadxHeroine/"Anli" is an "oddball" pairing though - not a lot of people like it because, well, Escad's a bastard. XD But for some reason, I have a bizarre thing for fictional bastards. XD Well, not a complete bastard persay - he's just a misguided sap! Lol. XD But I love him anyway.

Yep! The Heroine can actually be named anything you like in the game - I just like calling her Anli. XD

Aw, I think I like that type too XD;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; that's why I like characters like Ban Mido from GetBackers, Kyo Souma from Fruits Basket, and Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach. Not to say they're all necessarily BASTARDS, bastards XD;;;;;;; but they do have bastardly tendenceies from time to time. Which I find to be endearing qualities, I guess because their enteractions with other characters can prove to be comical XD;;;;;;;;;;;;

Oh, I almost forgot Sanzo and Gojyo from Saiyuki, tho Sanzo, half the time, really jus doesn't want to be bothered with anyone XD;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; a character from a video game that I really like who I think also fits that characteristic is Ryudo from Grandia II. Gawd, he had an attitude toward jus about everyone ROOOOOOOFLIRL~!!!!! But he had a good heart, jus... didn't really kno how to get along with humanity XD ah, lovable, tho. And very memorable

Woo, I've rambled on here and oh, 'The Heroine' is jus a general title for describing the main character who you play through the game XD gotcha, it all makes perfect sense now~ =3

*grin* Yeah, they're fun characters. XD Guys like Escad would piss me off to no end in real life, but for some reason, I adore them silly in fiction. XD And I've noticed that too! All of the "bastard" characters seem to have adorable dorky traits to them. Good thing, since they would get on everyone's nerves if they didn't. XD So I'm convinced Escad has some of those tendencies as well. XD

*SQUEE* Ryudo! Grandia II! Oh how I love those games. XD
